Who did you meet during your year that you were really excited to meet?
I think the coolest appearance I had the opportunity to make was at the Governor's Coronation Ball in Jefferson City. Marissa and I went together and met the governor, Bob Holden and his wife. It was a blast to walk through the capital all decked out and meet important politicians. The best part was the Children's Ball where we were into introduced on-stage, the kids were so cute and inspiring. I have made great friends with Marissa Whitley, whom I admire greatly for her strength and compassion. I have also made close friends with Rebecca Ambrosi (Miss IL USA 2001) , now Mrs. Rebecca Riker, Amy Vanderhoff (Miss CT 2001), and Jennifer Glover (Miss CA 2001 & my roommate at Miss USA) now Miss CA America!!! GO JENNY!!!!What was your best memory of your year as a titleholder?
My favorite moment was watching Marissa Whitley win MISS TEEN USA on National Television!!! I felt so proud that she rightfully brought home the crown for the first time in Missouri History in the Miss Universe Organization. How have you benefited from the pageant experience?
My favorite part of the pageant experience is the whole process of learning about myself. I feel that I can accomplish anything I truly put my heart into. As a direct result of Miss Missouri USA 2001 I found a wonderful agency in Los Angeles, was a Bikini.com Supermodel, and appeared in the national Taj Mahal ad campaign. I found the courage to follow my dreams. It is a memorable and strengthening experience on so many levels.
